During the New York International Auto Show, Ram debuted the Heavy Duty Limited Kentucky Derby Edition. This 2019 pickup commemorates the 145th Kentucky Derby and is fitted on the top Limited trim.
Kentucky Derby Edition
This year’s May 4th race marks the 10th year that Ram has been the Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Derby. This truck is filled to the gills with luxury, technology and style that help it to fit in at the race.
It features a 360-degree surround-view camera that includes trailer-reverse guidance. It also has a fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep, air suspension complete with bed lowering, active hitch grid lines, a bed step, DOT safety kit and Forward Collision Warning-Plus equipped with trailer braking. This allows drivers to tow cargo with unparalleled confidence.
This special-edition Ram also includes a Uconnect infotainment center with a 12-inch touchscreen. Aside from that, it includes Sirius XM 360L, a navigation system, blind-spot monitoring plus power-retracting running boards. If you desire luxury touches, you will be happy it comes with premium leather seats, in the front and rear plus genuine wood interior pieces.
With seven colors to pick from, there’s a Ram for anyone. The mighty 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine helps it to provide one of the highest towing capabilities in its segment. You can effectively tow 35,100 with this heavy-duty pickup. This edition also comes as a 2500 or 3500 Limited. You can also choose the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 if you prefer.
Of course, the starting price is $66,890 so not everyone will be able to afford it. With that said, it’s available right now, but production remains limited to just 1,000 units.
